We also want our team leaders, project managers and senior management to have a firm belief in the importance of their professional standing, whether in the technical engineering environment or business support disciplines.
That’s why we encourage employees to pursue further education and training, including MBAs, degrees and other professional qualifications. Training requests are of course considered on their merits, but as a general rule we pay tuition fees for staff attending evening classes in subjects considered relevant to their business activities.
We also recognise that softer skills are extremely important in our leaders and managers; we’ve developed a programme of modules to deliver training, coaching and mentoring in specific leadership and management skills.
