• Advanced Technology Centre, University of Surrey, UK

The 2,800m² A.T. Centre was designed to permit the merger of a number of groups whose combined knowledge and skills would place the university at the cutting edge of research.

Facilities included clean rooms, optical and specialist laboratory spaces, ancillary workshops, offices and meeting spaces. The low-energy approach included natural ventilation to cellular space and mixed mode ventilation to the open plan research area developed using Hilson Moran’s Computational Fluid Dynamics and environmental modelling expertise.
