Hilson Moran has assisted Nokia with the design of various buildings to support their design, production and testing of advanced telecommunications equipment.
Two buildings in Farnborough provide 18,600 m2 of research and development space including computer room and extensive SER’s, all with N+1 cooling systems to support highly resilient communications systems. Other resilience measures include duplicate HV electrical supplies and communication services and multiple UPS installations. Chilled beam cooling is provided throughout the office space.
Another development at Church Crookham comprises a two-storey office and production building. The office space accommodates administrative and human resources staff while light industrial assembly of mobile phones is undertaken in the production facility. The design allowed for Phases 2 and 3 to be undertaken at a later date.
