    IBIS Hotel

Right in the heart of the CB1 project, it will be located next to the Cambridge mainline railway station and will sit above the UK’s biggest cycle park.

We have been appointed by Brookgate to work alongside Formation Architects to provide a full range of MEP and specialist services including acoustics, fire & security engineering, vertical transportation and sustainability consultancy.

"One of the most basic functions of a hotel is to ensure guests relax in relatively tranquil surroundings. Noise of the wrong kind can be a huge disruption and may destroy the ambience. Our acoustic consultants have been involved in the project from concept stage to ensure all noise provisions have been put in place, from the importance of Facade Design, to using advanced 3-D acoustic modelling techniques to map the variation in noise levels around the building." Nick Jones, Head of Acoustics, Hilson Moran

    Cycle Park

Wanting to mitigate noise pollution, which can be a disruption for the hotel, the cycle park provides an effective transport solution, without a minimal impact on the ambience of the surroundings
