We offer a bespoke engineering service to complete fast, affordable, high quality and sustainable fit-outs. Most of our fit-out clients are occupiers; they’re focused on their core business and don’t necessarily have the refurbishment experience that we expect from our construction and developer clients. So they need a specialist team that will be open with them, take the time to understand their occupational needs and aspirations, and then deliver to fixed time, cost and quality criteria.
We undertake a substantial number of fit-out projects in the commercial office market each year. We can deliver a fit-out from a shell and core to cat B, and we can take a building from shell and core to cat A or put offices back to a cat A format for disposal. With increased demand for open-plan and flexible working as well as space efficiency, we help create adaptable, technology rich environments that meet your needs – all while reducing energy costs and energy maintenance expenditure.
We also carry out demanding fit-outs for retail, leisure, hotel, residential and education sectors. Different organisations – even within the commercial office environment – operate in different ways. Each company has differing priorities for space usage, technological capability, levels of building servicing, speed of completion, capital cost and costs in-use. The greatest advantage of talking to a multidisciplinary engineering firm like Hilson Moran is that we can assemble a completely bespoke team to achieve the exact solution you’re hoping for.
That’s why so much of our work is repeat business. We see our role as a guiding advisor of refurbishment activities, from due diligence and briefing stages through to delivery and handover. So we spend time listening and developing the brief with users and stakeholders to deliver total client satisfaction. Then we get closely involved with a client’s facilities team to make sure that everything aligns with their requirements.
We’re known for our passion for sustainability. We carry out detailed sustainability appraisals on both existing and new-build properties to identify every opportunity to reduce carbon impact, energy use and operational running costs. We can help you to demonstrate your own sustainability credentials by achieving BREEAM, LEED or Ska certification, advising on low impact materials and designing highly controllable, energy-efficient spaces.
Our philosophy is Environments for Life. This means our responsibility extends beyond handing over the keys at practical completion. By integrating our design and facilities management services, we ensure that every client fully understands their new space and how best to manage it. Our sustainability experts can also assist in the development and implementation of energy, water and waste management strategies to minimise resource consumption, and ultimately costs of operation.
