We are seeking to employ a proactive and enthusiastic Senior Vertical Transportation Consultant to join our expanding team in London. As an experienced professional who ideally holds professional accreditation or is actively pursuing it, you will bring an extensive portfolio demonstrating your expertise and capabilities.

You will deliver your design services within a diverse and challenging range of design projects. Your project range Will vary, demonstrating experience across a range of different scales, complexity, sectors, and geographies.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conceptual design, scheme design and preparation of tender packages for lift escalator services.
  • Lift traffic calculations and simulation.
  • Preparation of reports at key stages of projects and as required.
  • Working with architects and other members of the professional teams to identify and develop innovative solutions.
  • Undertaking site inspections to monitor the progress and quality of installation works.
  • Attendance at demonstration tests.
  • End of defects inspections.

Background & Qualifications:

  • Experience in Vertical Transportation Design Engineering within a consultancy, practice from concept, scheme and detailed design across a range of projects.
  • Knowledge of Vertical Transportation Engineering Systems including their performance, application and operation
  • Have HNC or equivalent qualification.
  • Be a Chartered Engineer or possess the desire to become Chartered.

 

Skills:

  • Proficient with solid communication skills.
  • Have the ability to apply current engineering standards, practices, regulations and legislation.
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency in required software.
  • Be able to undertake lift traffic analysis, as well as VT systems assessments.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems efficiently.
  • Effectively manages time and priorities. Ensures that information presented to your key contacts within your team meets an appropriate standard and is within the allocated timeframe.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders through professional communication and responsiveness.
