Hilson Moran is proud to announce its new charity partnership with Thames21, a dedicated environmental charity focused on restoring rivers for the benefit of people and nature across London and the Thames Basin. Thames21 will be leading a new charity partnership with Hilson Moran and two other local rivers trusts – South East Rivers Trust and Mersey Rivers Trust – who will deliver active volunteering days for Farnborough and Manchester based teams.
This collaboration marks the beginning of an ongoing commitment from the business for the next three years, aimed at supporting Thames21’s vital work in enhancing the ecological health of rivers and their tributaries.
Hilson Moran’s involvement will include active participation in Thames21’s initiatives, a mixture of hands-on and heads-on volunteering, as well as financial support in order to aid the charity’s mission of transforming neglected rivers into valuable spaces for people and wildlife.
Vince Ugarow, Design Director at Hilson Moran, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with Thames21, whose dedication to the environment aligns perfectly with our commitment to sustainability. This partnership not only allows us to contribute to the health of our local waterways but also provides our employees with meaningful opportunities to engage and advocate for environmental stewardship in line with our company values. We look forward to making a positive impact together over the next three years.”
Tom Whitehead, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Thames21, added, “We are delighted to welcome Hilson Moran as a new corporate partner. Their support will boost our efforts to restore and protect precious blue-green spaces, and we’re really looking forward to engaging their staff with opportunities on the ground and online. With Hilson Moran’s expertise and dedication, we aim to achieve even greater results in creating cleaner, healthier, and more vibrant rivers for the benefit of water, people and nature.”
The partnership will kick off with a series of river clean-up events and educational workshops aimed at raising awareness about the importance of waterway conservation. Employees from Hilson Moran will have the opportunity to volunteer in hands-on activities, such as litter picking, habitat creation, and the removal of invasive species, as well as lending their own experience in engineering, ecology and sustainability – directly contributing to the improvement of local ecosystems.
Hilson Moran’s commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility is at the core of this partnership, reflecting the company’s B Corp certification and ambition to deliver net positive places for its clients – unlocking value and potential across a wide range of communities and spaces, with people and planet-positive design and engineering.
