The City of London Corporation’s ‘Carbon Options Guidance’ is now available to view and download.
Following a rigorous consultation process with the industry and the adoption by the City of London Corporation’s Planning and Transportation Committee, we are proud to have authored a world-leading planning guide that marks a major step forward for sustainable development in the capital.
The Carbon Options Guidance Planning Advice Note (COG) is a new optioneering exercise for planning proposals in the City of London, allowing an accurate comparison of development types, ranging from refurbishment to the more substantial redevelopment of a site.
The carbon optioneering process enables the holistic consideration of carbon impacts, sustainability outcomes and wider planning objectives to meet the goals of the City’s Climate Action Strategy and enable a net zero future.
The guide is published alongside a ‘Carbon Options Tool’, which provides a consistent presentation of the assessment results.
