Having supported the major refurbishment of the base building to deliver the flagship ‘Neo’ development, this project involved the fitting out of part of the 5th floor to serves as our own Manchester office. We provided MEP and sustainability design and implementation with the fit out designed to the WELL Standard™, with a particular focus on reducing the amount of volatile organic compounds (VOC’ s) emitted from products and furniture in order to improve air quality. Stand out office features include green moss walls to compliment collaboration areas, various graphics panels and wall designs that invoke nature, carefully selected plants proven to help remove pollutants from the air all strategically placed around the office floor and an air quality monitoring system that constantly displays air quality to make sure the plants are doing their job.
The project achieved WELL Certified™ Gold, only the third project to be WELL Certified™ within the UK, and was a winner in the 2018 BCO Regional Awards.
